Introduction on the Leader of the Year (LOTY)

Introduction

"Leader of the Year" is an annual event established since 1994 by Sing Tao Newspaper Group (a subsidiary of Sing Tao News Corporation Limited) to recognize and encourage the achievements of Hong Kong's finest individuals that have made outstanding contributions towards Hong Kong's success and prosperity, linking Hong Kong to the Greater China and the international community.

In today's global environment, Hong Kong must gear up for the challenges posed by the new economy through continuous upgrading of skills and knowledge. These are important not only to the personal advancement but also to the economic and social development of Hong Kong as a whole. The winners of the "Leader of the Year" Award have risen to the occasion. They have demonstrated their capacity to learn, to lead and to reap the rewards.

The notable Award aims to:
